Today we’re introducing a new update for Minecraft: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition, that’s as smashing as the mace, exciting as trial chambers, and rewarding as the vault. Discover new decorative blocks, hostile mobs, items, weapons, paintings, and more in this major update!
The mace is a blocky weapon that’s perfect for crushing enemies and conquering challenges. Crafted with a breeze rod (dropped by the mischievous breeze) and a heavy core, this mace has a powerful attack that can send enemies flying! It’s also capable of harnessing wind, which is great for making long leaps.
This update introduces the trial chambers, a new structure that requires players to traverse traps and battle hostile mobs in order to retrieve rewards. The trials scale in difficulty based on how many players are participating, but every player in a Realm can unlock the vault once per day for exciting loot!
This update also adds a wide range of decorative blocks to the Copper family, including Banners, Pottery Sherds, and Armor Trims that contribute toward the “Smithing with Style” advancement. There are also new Tuff variant blocks, and 20 new paintings to decorate your builds with, including five from Mojang Studio Game Artist Sarah Boeving and 15 from our in-house pixel artist Kristoffer Zetterstand! There are even new ambient music tracks that play in badlands, cherry groves, lush caves, and more. Check out the full Patch Notes here for more information on all of these updates.
